The Bad for Dogs Movie
It’s a fun canine comedy that doesn’t require great effort to follow the story. Just cozy up on the couch and let yourself be carried away by genuinely funny laughs.
The plot introduces us to Reggie, a friendly mutt completely in love with his owner, Doug, even though he’s a boring guy who doesn’t treat Reggie with the proper care. Reggie was adopted by Doug’s ex-girlfriend, and since then, their coexistence has been somewhat complicated.

In the movie, Doug, unemployed and always asking his mom for money, decides to play a cruel prank by abandoning Reggie in the big city. There, our friendly protagonist finds himself lost and helpless in a hostile environment for a suburban dog. Luckily, he is rescued by Bug, a brave French Bulldog, who scares away the street bullies and decides to teach Reggie the rules of canine survival, including the art of marking territory.
Together, they explore the streets and meet other canine characters on their journey. After a fun night with their new friends, Reggie decides it’s time to settle the score with Doug in an unusual way – and yes, you read that correctly, it involves testicles. But don’t worry, it’s all part of the comedy!
The movie’s plot is simple and straightforward, filled with double entendre jokes that will make you laugh genuinely, even though some of them are a bit crude. However, the standout is Bug, who steals the show and brings an irresistible charisma to the story. He is the bond between the characters and has a tragic past that is explored intriguingly. Reggie, on the other hand, loves Doug despite the mistreatment, while Bug harbors deep distrust of humans due to the abandonment he suffered. The friendship between these two creates emotional dilemmas about abusive relationships, and this is handled with sensitivity and a dash of humor. For us Brazilians, the film gets a special touch thanks to the masterful dubbing by Wendel Bezerra, the legendary voice actor of Goku and SpongeBob SquarePants.
